I started out the page Figure Skaters for Christ because I am a Christian and I like figure skating very much. Because I also noticed that not many skaters were saved, I was motivated to create a site for skaters to get to know God and to get to know other skaters that are saved. So, I made the page thinking maybe some skaters will get linked to my page and read the salvation message I have and accept Jesus into there hearts.

It would be great to see more saved skaters like Paul Wylie, R. Todd Reynolds, Shae-Lynn Bourne, Susan Humphry, Jennifer Robinson, Ravi W., Rosalyn Sumners, Janet Lynn, my former coach Kristi Thornton and my new coach Sunni McDonald.

A Bit About Me The Founder of Figure Skaters For Christ(FSFC)
I began to learn to skate as an adult in October 1998 but I did not start to learn to figure skate until October of 1999. My skating club is Windsor Figure Skating Club during September to March. I am Windsor FSC's webmaster. Their email is windsorfsc@yahoo.com. During the spring of 2000, I skated at Champions Training Center in Tecumseh, ON. Summer 2000 I skated at South Windsor Arena through the city 5 days a week. The first year I was skating I learned ice dancing only until towards the end of summer 2000 when I began learning freeskating. Although, why they call it freeskating, I don't know. It's not free. It cost mega bucks just like ice dance and pairs. This summer I worked on freeskating getting up to a salchow/toe combination. The flip still needs mega work.

On April 20th, 2001, I competed at the COS Adult Spring Competition in Thornhill, ON and won a Bronze. It was my first competition. I used a rock guitar version of "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" for my 2001 freeskate. For the year, I skated to Smooth, a sax version of Santana's hit. The words to the song hit me like this. God is saying to us, "Give me your heart, make it real or else forget about it."

I competed again at the COS Adult Spring Competition in Thornhill, ON and finished 4th because I slept through my entire program and the judges knew it. On February 9-10, 2002 at the WO Adult Invitational in Woodstock, ON I won another Bronze and at the North American Adult Invitational 2002 on Saturday and Sunday March 9th and 10th, 2002 run by the Ice Fusion and the Wyandotte Figure Skating Club in Wyandotte, Michigan I won my first gold Medal.
I'm taking a break this summer and won't be doing summer skating school which starts July 15th, 2002. Even so, they sent me forms even after I told them I wasn't skating this summer. I've already got my new Freeskate program choreographed and ready for the 2002-2003 season but with Skate Canada introducing interpretive freeskating I'm searching for music to which to skate. So far my pics are "Head Over Heels" by Alanis Morrisette, "Come Together" by Crystal Lewis and about 4 others. Off-ice I have all my singles except the axel. Finally figured out how to get all the way around. It was the way, I was using my right arm on the take off. Now my right arm twists my lower body to the left making it easier to take off and get around. Before my right arm did nothing for me.
